Burn with Bub - Bridging

Live Class
with Elise

Burn with Bub is a guided series of short classes that new Mummas can do while Bub is awake and wanting to join in (or if they won't sleep and you don't want to miss your movement fix). Filmed in my early postpartum days, they are a little messy at times, filled with giggles and beautiful bonding moments I look back on fondly. Soak up this special time because we will blink, and our babies will be big!

This class is a challenging (yet genius) way to use bub to challenge bridging and your glutes and hamstrings. Bridging is a great movement to combat our poor postural habits as new mums where we do so much sitting and nursing. It strengthens the back, glutes, hamstrings and core as well as opens our hip flexors and quadriceps. I recommend practising this series without your baby first (place them next to you) so you can familiarise yourself with the series then when you are ready to advance and bub can support their neck in a semi-seated position place them onto your pelvis for an extra challenge. The bigger (and heavier) they get the more challenging the movement becomes. This is such a hit in our household, it’s guaranteed to get Hugo giggling and when Max is home I end up with both boys on me giggling. Haha.

Note: Listen to your body and if the single-leg variations feel too strong initially, stay with the modifications and build up slowly. Enjoy x
