Postnatal Movement

A safe and specialised postnatal program to follow as you regain strength and retrain muscles after birth. Throughout this program, we spend extra time and attention nurturing the core, hips, opening chest/shoulders, and focussing on posture. Everything a new mum needs to feel her best and glow.

Classes are kept under 20 minutes so you can slot them into your day. As always, we encourage you to move at your own pace. Take your time and listen to your body.

It is usually recommended that you wait until the 6-week postnatal check with your doctor before commencing a group exercise programs. (We also encourage making an appointment with a Women’s health Physio).

Our Postnatal movement program is designed to be started once you have clearance to exercise (usually after your 6-week postnatal check). However after your feedback, we have a new postnatal program for weeks 0-6 after birth. Perfect for our Mummas wanting gentle movement and guidance in those early weeks. Breathwork, Yoga, Stretching and gentle movements that are restorative in nature (some you can even do from the comfort of your bed).

Congratulations on bub! Members access all areas. Follow our curated Postnatal Movement Program here. You can also use the “Postnatal” filter within the library to ensure the classes you choose are safe and appropriate. If you ever want any further guidance, reach out to Elise and she will assist.

Choose your own workout from the library. Use the ‘focus: postnatal’ filter to choose workouts that are safe and rehabilitating postnatally.

We have all the equipment you need available through our online shop. You can purchase the equipment individually but we recommend our Toning Toolkit which includes the essential equipment you need.

Great question. We have kept most of the workouts to under 20 minutes because we understand how pushed for time we are as Mums.

The classes within the program vary from 5-30 minutes and build up in intensity (and duration) as the program progresses.

Don’t worry – I’ve made sure that no matter what awake window you’re working with there’s something for you.

Yes, the classes and program have been designed for the early stages of postpartum and are diastasis recti-safe. They will support you as we let our bodies recover. Rebuilding core and pelvis floor strength safely is a priority within the classes and program. We do this by avoiding crunches and focusing on the transverse abdominal muscles, stability around the trunk, obliques, and breath. This will help close any abdominal separation if it exists. Pilates and the Movement Method has a proven track record to help close this gap.
