So whether you are a busy mum, looking for a lunch break Pilates hit, or an early bird like me who likes to jump on the mat first thing before the rest of the household wakes up.. it is definitely easier to mentally carve out 20 minutes of your day.

Pro Tip: Have your mat and ‘zone’ set up somewhere so you can come back to it daily with ease.

Movement is a proven form of stress release. It can boost your mood, release feel-good endorphins and distract your mind from daily worries. It’s so easy to get caught up and focus just on the aesthetic benefits that come from movement and forget how powerful the mindful benefits are on daily life, mental health and overall happiness. 

They give you a sense of accomplishment which feels good

They make you feel like you accomplished something which feels good. Whenever you complete a task you feel good. It’s science – Dopamine released when we complete tasks. *We have created an accountability tracker to help you stay on track.

They give you more energy

I always underestimate how much of a skip in my step my morning workout gives me. I feel so sluggish when I just roll out of bed. That doesn’t change for shorter workouts. Whether it’s to combat the 3pm energy slump or kick start your day, 20 minutes of daily movement will give you an energy boost. 

They are achievable and provide a manageable starting point

20 minutes is a duration we can all find time for. How quickly do you find 20 minutes pass while you are mindlessly scrolling or binging Netflix? Pair this with a clear start date (Oct 8) and realistic and achievable timeframe (20 days) you have overcome the hardest part – a clear plan to get started and achieve your goals! (The hardest part is always getting started).
