We love the idea of getting a sweat in first thing in the morning. Also, we love the idea of staying in bed and hitting snooze.

When my alarm goes off – I don’t always bounce out of bed. There are days where I decide I’m no longer going to teach Pilates and instead sleep for the rest of my life. But – I know once up – and caffeinated – for the rest of the day – I’m going to have a little kick in my step. I can list all the benefits of why you should. (Helps energise you, boosts your metabolism all day long, gets it done, you get the worm etc).. but it’s not about why. It’s about how. Cos it‘s hard, cold and easier to sleep in. Especially in winter.

 MORNING 101:

We have a few morning workout motivation tips that have kept us from hitting the snooze button…

️1. Prepare the night before️

I dread the moment “between” my Jarmies coming off and activewear on.  My house is -500 degrees. I feel like im going to die of hyperthermia in that moment.

So minimising this moment is key.

Laying out the clothes the night before is a new one for me. But it works. 1. shortens that “moment”. 2. Zero decisions to make. 3. An outfit that matches. Win.
I shower at night. So sometimes I sleep in the top half of my outfit.
. Fuel + Caffeine ️
I wake up starving. So that also helps get me up. I get a little rush of excitement at the idea of my morning toast and avo, or bran & cherries.  Coffee is a must.
️ Pre-heat my car ️
*I then do a quick run to my car – car seat warmer on, heater on” …
Finish the Groom process. Wash face, Brush & Poney tail my hair, clean my teeth. Slap on some invisible zinc, & mascara so I’m dewy af.

Sneak in some extra slickly cuddles. My dog gets his scratches and is so happy and excited. This is actually one of my favourite moments of the day. Cute little guy. Definitely another win.

Warm & Ready to Tone.
*Arriving in a warm car – third win for the day and it’s only 5am. Spotify some good tunes – and I’m off.

The hardest part is done.
SNOOZE & LOOZE
Ps. Snooze and die. Snooze is the worst. IMHO. (I had to google that too – in my humble opinion).

Cancelling is not an option. I’d late cancel for sure if I had the option – especially on a Monday.
But MVMT is a commitment, you are accountable and when you arrive – your society of support are doing it with you.
