Tandia was exposed to dance, ballet and fitness classes since being in her mum’s belly. A dance and fitness instructor, her mum started the first dance school in Broome. Tandia achieved success in Rhythmic gymnastics, competing at a National level and training 4-5 hours a day. Tandia fell in love with the Pilates method after it helped rehabilitate her back after a gymnastics injury.
Tandia went on to complete a bachelor of commerce at UWA with a double major in corporate and investment finance. During university, Tandia worked at the Cottesloe Sports Physio and was lucky enough to work with Cindy Davis, a leader in the Perth Pilates Industry and a certified Polestar Pilates mentor and trainer. This gave Tandia insight into how Pilates was of benefit to so many people and inspired Tandia to turn her passion into a qualification and lead her to complete her certificate IV in Pilates Mat with the internationally recognised Polestar Pilates.
Tandia finds Pilates is the perfect edition in life, allowing herself to unwind on the mat after dealing with the demands of the office life.
